The holiday decorations are down, the new year is here and now its time to hit the refresh button and redecorate my home.
Transitioning from christmas decor to winter decor can be challenging but I love to give my home a fresh new look. Moving a few things around helps me keeps items that I need and don’t need anymore. I still use my timeless home decor items and I love incorporating new ones too, new home decor items that are modern but classic, not trendy but the ones I know will last a long time.
After putting all my christmas decoration away my house felt empty like a blank canvas ready for new inspiration, I love all the coziness christmas decor brings, but at the same time I can’t stand it for too long. I still want my home to feel cozy and inviting so I wanted to decorate it with soft and neutral colors to represent the winter season and plants, lots of plants! My favorite ones are faux eucalyptus and olive branches as well as real plants, plant lady right here!, I love to bring nature indoors and livening up my home. Cozy throw blankets and faux fur pillows are still a must-have in my winter decor. Let’s face it, we have three long months of winter and for me is all about keeping my home cozy and spring ready too, a challenging transition but definitely doable .
Here are a few pictures to inspire you this winter, welcome to my home!
