Welcome to my home! There’s nothing like being at home for the holidays. I love making my home cozy, cheerful and inviting. My kids love all these things with a hot cocoa, plush blankets and a warm fireplace and let’s not forget Christmas music please! This is definitely my favorite time of the year and I want to make it as special as possible for my family without saturating the house with decor and without breaking the bank of course.
I incorporated last year decor items as well as new ones from this year. This post contains affiliate links which means if you make a purchase using my links I make a small commission at no cost to you. All similar and exact items will be linked below. Thank you for your support!
For my Christmas mantel I created an asymmetrical garland design and I’m so happy with the way it turned out. I layered two faux flocked pine garlands to give it a fuller and more realistic look. Plus christmas lights which cannot be missing.
Once I had my garland in place I added wooden trees and a brush tree all the same size, a cute little owl and small houses to give it the impression of a little village on the mantel. No candles this time,I didn’t want to overwhelm the look with too many things. Although I’m thinking about adding another garland of pom poms together with the beaded ones.
A Christmas mantel is not complete without the stockings. We are six in my family so I layered them together on one side opposite to where I placed the garland and I’m so happy with how it looks.
I created this beautiful wall art in Canva and an Ikea picture frame. I love it!!
For my dining table I used more flock trees and wooden houses from last year, I love candles on a dining table I think they look elegant.
In my living room I have the main Christmas tree, which by the way its been with us for a long time, oversized pillows and blankets to add texture and coziness to this room. This year I bought new ornaments and I can’t be happy enough!
My kitchen gets the least attention but again I don’t want to overwhelm the space with too many things. I have a small kitchen and to add more decor here would stress me out :). Instead I have a wooden Christmas tree shaped board which I love and a table runner for the everyday table. No need to add more in my case.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Hopefully this post gave you some inspiration to try something new with your Christmas home decor this year.
